RODNEY Morris believes America’s greater desire to win will see them beat Europe and lift the 2010 PartyCasino.c

om Mosconi Cup. Morris, currently top of the BCA rankings, thinks he is in the form of his life and will play a vital part as his side look to defend their trophy.

USA won the 2009 Mosconi Cup, although Morris was not involved after coming second to Dennis Hatch in a public vote to find the final player in the side.

“œSitting there in Las Vegas and watching just tore me up inside because I know I’m the best player in the world,” said 40-year-old Morris.

WPBA Tour Championship Session #1 Results
NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. – The Women’s Pro Billiard Tour’s season finale kicked off today at the Seneca Niagara Events Center as round #1 got underway for the 64 best women pool players in the world today. Defending her title is Austrian native Jasmin Ouschan, hot off back-to-back wins at the Atlanta Classic (October) and the Women’s World 10-Ball Championships in Manila (November). She defeated US’ Amy Chen 9-2 in the first round and plays Sweden’s Helena Thornfeldt at 8 p.m. this evening.

It was a smashing weekend November 13^th & 14^th at Casper’s Billiards in San Leon, Texas.    The weather was just how we liked it”¦..rainy and cool, prime conditions for being indoors and playing 9-ball all weekend long.  Casper’s Billiards is like no other pool room on our tour.

Fair Game hosted another great tournament weekend! This time we were at Lucky Break Billiard Club in Manchester, TN (http://luckybreakbilliardclub.com), John Hennessee’s new room, with 4 7″² valleys and 4 7″² Diamonds and 3 IPT Diamond 9″² tables, along with darts and great food, it is quite a room. John put up a guaranteed $750 for first place in the open tournament, a race to 9 on the winner’s side and a race to 7 on the losers, plus adding $200 to the race to seven mini-tournament on Friday night.

The Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) is pleased to announce that eight (8) junior players ( 19 years old or younger) will be representing the United States in the XIX WPA World Junior 9-Ball Championships, November 29 ““December 1, 2010. The United States Pool Players Association (USPPA) and the Rail Bird Project will produce the World Pool-Billiard Association’s (WPA) most prestigious junior event, which will be held at the Peppermill Resort in Reno, Nevada.

Amateur and professional players descended on the Atlanta area for the inaugural Atlanta Billiard Show, held October 1^st through the 3^rd 2010.  Dawn Hopkins of Dawn Hopkins Promotions put together a great show and event for pool players from all as far away as Montreal Canada.

Ouschan has accomplished one of her lifelong dreams
Manila, Philippines- Trailing 4-0 to Korea’s monster Ga Young Kim, Jasmin Ouschan could feel the World Championship slipping away. But the determined young Austrian, backed by a vocal crowd of Jasmin fans, turned the tide and fought back to win the match and her first ever World Championship win. This was the conclusion of the 5 day Yalin Women’s World 10-Ball Championship that drew 48 of the world’s best women in billiards.
