Defending Champs Efren and Django Lead the Way
THE PARTYPOKER.NET WORLD CUP OF POOL will once again take place in Manila following last year’s hugely successful event in the Philippines. Taking place from Tuesday to Sunday 7th to 12th September, the event will feature 32 two-player teams shooting for a $250,000 prize fund.
Now that the BCAPL National event is concluded for 2010, CSI is resuming the monthly email of all CSI / BCAPL produced and or affiliated state, regional and independent (open to all player) events. An open to the public series of events sponsored and sanctioned by the Illinois Billiard Club and cosponsored by the historical Iwan Simonis Billiard Cloth Company.
Each year, College Billiardshas an Open Tournament that attracts the best players in the United States as well as the Champions from South America and Mexico. In effect, it is very much like the Pan American Championship Tournament because of the high caliber of players. This year was no different.
CueSports International (CSI), under its BCA Pool League division, is proudly sponsoring 13 young players to participate in the 22nd Annual Billiard Education Foundation (BEF) Junior National 9-Ball Championships. This prestigious event is being held July 7-11, 2010 at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, and includes 4 divisions: Boys 14 and Under, Boys 19 and Under, Girls 14 and Under and Girls 19 and Under.

The thirty-ninth stop on the 2009-2010 Lucasi Hybrid All American Tour (produced by the American CueSports Alliance ““ ACS) was produced in Stuart, FL, on Saturday, May 29 ““ The Memorial Weekend Bar Box Bash.
Just before the end of the school year, Allenwood Elementary School, located in Temple Hills, Maryland and in keeping with the schools motto “œAllenwood is ENGAGED”,hosted their Career Awareness Day for all of their students.
Mrs. Lakeshia Morgan the shools Professional Counselor/Career Coordinator, orchestrated the event and said “œThere is no time like the present to make our children aware of the different and exciting career opportunities available to them”. The schools purpose is to help students, by displaying the personal characteristics and attitudes to become successful.

We all use chalk on our tip, to prevent a miscue. If we do miscue though, we do not blame the chalk. We blame the tip. We put on our “œI hate this shaft ““ face” and take another one from our bag. This second shaft is not as good as the first one; we started the match with the other one for a reason. The substitution is merely to tell the audience that the miscue was not our fault. (It was).

The 2010 USBA TOUR continued at World Class Billiards in Peabody, Massachusetts for an exciting “œB” level tournament. Twelve players entered so a round-robin format was used which gave everyone plenty of bang for their buck, eleven matches each in three days.
