The American Cuemakers Association (ACA) is proud to present three special awards at this year’s annual banquet at the Allen Hopkins’ Super Billiards Expo.Â The Expo will be held April 4-7, 2013, at the New Jersey Convention and Expo Center in Edison, NJ.Â The ACA was formed in 1992 to both educate the public on and promote the American made cue, as well as establish a standard of excellence in the art of cue making.
After playing in pool leagues for the past 20 years and giving players the chance to play in a home grown cash league the opportunity to build TAP in Southwestern Ontario came along.Â As we enter into our 9th year we reflect on our growth and pleasures we have received from being part of the TAP family.

Day eight of the 15th Derby City Classic saw the completion of the “œBig Foot” 10 Ball event.Â Ronnie Alcano and Johnny Archer eliminated but each going home with $5,000. The final was Niels Feijen versus Dennis Orcollo. Niels would take and early lead but see it disappear as Dennis came charging back it what looked to be blow out match. But Niels kept grinding it out but came up short at 9 to 11. Dennis Orcollo wins the first “œBig Foot” 10 Ball and takes home the $20,000 prize money. Niels Feijen takes second and the $10,000.
When the smoke cleared Alex Pagulayan was moving on to the final. The up and down final at 5 to 5 saw Alex take the lead and with a 9 to 6 win becoming the 2013 9 Ball Champion.Â Francisco Bustamante, the 2013 Banks Champion would also take home the $20,000 Master of the Table. Bustamante’s finished first in the Banks, second in One pocket and 6thin the 9 Ball.

Corey Duel wins One Pocket
After four days of play and nine rounds of play the One Pocket competition is down to 8 players. Three players still have re-buys, Francisco Bustamante, Benny Conway and Corey Deuel. The raining 2012 Champion Shane Van Boening and the remaining four other players, Darren Appleton, Joseph Gray, Danny Harriman and Sylver Ocho have one loss. The finials for the One Pocket are Thursday nigh, streamed PPV by Accu-Stats.
Billiards star earns top honors from the Women’s Professional Billiard Association
Billiards superstar Jeanette Lee, known throughout the world as “œThe Black Widow,” will be inducted into the Women’s Professional Billiard Association (WPBA) Hall of Fame on Wednesday, Feb. 6 prior to the start of the 2013 WPBA Masters at Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Lee, who has won over 30 national and international titles, is currently ranked as the No. 3 billiards player in the world.
