One Man’s Opinion: Bonus Ball Makes History

Whether or not it becomes officially recorded for future reference, the period of May 30 thru June 2, 2013 was a time when billiard history was made in Las Vegas, Nevada.  On that weekend at the address of 6745 Surrey Street ““ and inside a stunning new arena built specifically for its intended purpose ““ the World Professional Billiard League made good on its long-overdue promise to formally launch the game of Bonus Ball.

LAS VEGAS (May 30, 2013)

The World Professional Billiard League launched the inaugural 2013 season at the WPBL Arena in Las Vegas, NV last night to a packed house. The season’s first match-up featured the New York Pride against the Atlanta Scorpions.


Corey Deuel Captures National Snooker Championship Title

Corey Deuel has made a successful transformation to snooker as the former U.S. Open 9-Ball Pool Champion has now added the 2013 United States National Snooker Championship title to his collection with victory at Snooker 147 Bar & Grill in Houston, Texas.

It has been an incredible event for the 35-year-old from Florida as he was fortunate to qualify from the group phase after suffering two defeats out of four matches, placing runner-up to the five-time champion Tom Kollins, but he slowly forged his way into the Championship and gathered momentum with each match played to reach the final against the defending champion, Sargon Isaac.
