2013 Verhoeven Open Men’s Qualification Groups
Format
The tournament will be divided into 3 phases:
Qualifications
Finals First Phase
Finals KO (Single Elimination)
Qualifications Format
64 players divided into 8 Groups of 8 players – playing round robin.
The top 2 finishers from each Group plus the 2 best 3rd place finishers advance to the next round based on: W/L, Total Points, Head-to-Head, Points Against.
Matches will be 25 points.
18 players plus 1 Auction & 1 Lotto will advance to the 1st phase of the Finals. 20 players total.
The tournament director reserves the right to seed up to one player into each of the separate Qualification Groups. The remaining players will be assigned by random draw.
Finals 1st Phase
24 players divided into 4 groups of 6 players – playing round robin.
4 players will be seeded: Frédéric Caudron, Torbjörn Blomdahl, Raymond Ceulemans & Semih Sayginer
The top 2 finishers from each group advance to the Finals (KO) based on W/L, Average.
Matches will be 40 points.

8 player single elimination
Matches will be 40 points
There will be matches for 3rd & 4th place
There will be matches for 5th thru 8th place
The 2013 Verhoeven Open begins Wednesday June 17. The USBA will be receiving official updates of schedules and matches from the tournament site. We will post these in the order received so check back frequently to keep up with the action.
